SOLD Appears to be a .310 cadet Martini 1896 dated carbine with a barrel of 21" with visible rifling, and darkness , corrosiin and needs a scrubbing. The exterior metal is full armory blue and the hardwood stock as good, with some loss on the back end of the left side of the forend and on each side of the sotck where it meets the frame an thin aged recoil line but not an open split just a thin line Bore at muzzle measureass about .290" . Appears the gun as re-finished at one time . Not sure what the front loop is foe pissibly for a rod ro rake down and steady the rifle while prone? The rear sight is missing the sight ladder . At not time should modern ..310 military or commercial ammo be used!!! this gun was designed for black powder charges and will onky handle black powder hand loads! Action is very stiff, and the lever is held up to fire , so this gun could use cleaning, and adjustments, but it does fire.Always have a gun recently acquired checked by an experienced gunsmith before firing . I try to keep the prices affordable, which means I make less money than most dealers. I consistently have the best selection of older guns. No modern gun Sales to CA or FL., unless you are C&R in FL.! My description is the gun you get, not very often do I miss something, I tell you all I see. I prefer money orders or a check..
