Peabody Sporting rifle unknown caliber ?
appears to be a 45 caliber , a 45/70 cartridge goes in about 3/4 way ?
No markings except for those on receiver ( see pic ) .
Excellent overall condition with bright bore and sharp rifling!
Short range sights , excellent CC on receiver, wood is excellent, function is very crisp.
Hammer spring is strong, trigger is adequate for this period firearm .
