Smith & Wesson 3rd Model Hand Ejector .44 Special caliber revolver. Pre-war model 1926 (3rd Model) Hand Ejector, also referred to as the Wolf and Klar model. Serial number 32958. Revolver has carved steer head pearl grips. Wold and Klar of Ft. Worth, Texas was a watch and jewelry business that also employed “engravers”. The Wolf and Klar engraver did rustic and somewhat rudimentary quality engraving. The style, grips and model were popular with local police and with Texas Rangers. We have no information as to where this revolver was sent. Except for the lack of engraving this looks like every Wolf and Klar revolver we have sold. Action works very smoothly. Bore is excellent. Gun has approximately 95% original factory nickel. Grips have a tiny chip at the toe on right hand side grip. Steer has faux ruby eyes as was a very popular on the pearl steer head grips.
