Mauser C-96 "Red Nine", Cal. 9mm. Ser. 79392. A real find for the guy who wants one of these scarce "9"s and doesn't want to sell the ranch to get it. The condition is really nice. It retains about 85+% of the original blue. There little loss there is, is due to age, sharp edge silvering and three small patches of light pitting on the left side of frame from the holster. This Prussian WWI veteran is in general very nice condition. All parts match. The slide has the correct Crown/U and Crown/M, the front of the magazine a Prussian Eagle. The grips while not matching do show slight wear but are not chipped or split. The slide rail, bolt face and feed ramp show very little wear. The bore is great, mirror bright with sharp crisp filing and just a touch of scattered frost. For the budget minded collector/shooter looking for one of these historic icons it is a real find.
