"French Flintlock Horseman’s Pistol. Lock marked Ducenne Frere. Barrel length 12 ½" and overall length 19 ½". Barrel is well chiseled with floral motifs. The side plate and back of grip have chiseled panoplies of arms and military accoutrements. Pistol has silver wire inlays. The action works perfectly. In our opinion this is a French made pistol made for the Turkish Ottoman market and is a superior example to those normally found.
