Description:
Ruger Old Model Vaquero .44 Magnum single action revolver, dated to 1997. This revolver is a very unique Vaquero, with custom engraving performed by a "C.M.L", initialed under the loading gate. The engraving is near full coverage, with very finely done ornate designs on the barrel, frame, and cylinder, including the hammer. The revolver is also fitted with custom made pewter grip panels, beautifully engraved by Adams & Adams Engravers, and they suit the revolver wonderfully. What makes the engraving even more special is the phrase "Shake & Bake" is engraved into the back strap, perhaps as an homage to the Nascar racing movie Talladega Nights: The Ballad of Ricky Bobby. The previous owner was likely a fan of the movie, and maybe had the gun engraved to have the gun to express that. The revolver is in excellent condition and appears to have been shot very little, only handled and enjoyed. Not only is this a beautifully made revolver, the engraving is exquisite, and the term "Shake & Bake" engraved into the grip is bound to bring a smile to the face of any Ricky Bobby fan.
