Description:
Winchester 101 Super Pigeon 12 gauge O/U shotgun. Many shooters, familiar with the 101’s, are not aware that there was a factory made 101 with hand engraved gold inlays of ducks on the left side, quail and bird dog on the right side and a pigeon and “Super Pigeon” in gold wire on the bottom. version called the Super Pigeon. This highest grade 101 was only available from 1985-1987 and needless to say these Super Pigeons are extremely rare. This gun has 27” barrels, vent rib, factory fitted for choke tubes. Pistol grip stock and matching forearm crafted from beautiful Walnut with elaborate hand cut Fleur-de-lis checkering similar to traditional Winchester “B” carved stocks of the earlier model 21’s and model 12’s. The overall condition of the gun is 98%+. The only negative to me is that the original recoil pad was replaced with a thicker Pachmayr White Line vented pad. The stock was NOT cut. It comes cased in the original leather Winchester luggage case. A choke tube wrench but no tubes! Standard Winchokes or Browning Invector chokes fit.
