Description:
One of the best rounds designed by P.O. Ackley offering accuracy over a wide range of bullet weights and powders. Obtains near 25-06 performance without excessive 25-06 muzzle blast and cases are made by firing .257 factory ammunition in the improved chamber. This caliber has a worldwide following for use on deer size animals and varmint shooting. Widely known as a flat shooting, low recoil, and accurate caliber offering many options for the hand loader. This rifle is built on a K-98 Mauser action with a 22” Shilen barrel. A Timmy trigger and a swing type Model 70 safety have been added. The stock has fleur de lis checkering and Neidner butt and pistol grip plates. Modest engraving on the bolt handle and the scope rings with lightweight Control rings and bases with a 4X Swarovski scope. LOP is 13 ½”. The stock is finished in a classic style with Shadowline check piece and has small field use scratches
