Description:
This is serial number 5671 and it came from Pony Montana and shows saddle scabbard wear. Possible Indian use and was made in 1874, 45-70 caliber. The front blade for the sight is missing and the bore has strong rifling but has heavy frosting, the whole length of the bore. The wrist has a tight solid repair. I verified that the stock is the original 1873 carbine stock.
