Savage model 99F featherweight 300 Savage.Built in 1956,this rifle is in excellent all original conditon.It retains 95% of the original blue and wood finish.This rifle combines the classic 99 features with some late added modern features that make it a better hunting rifle.The classic features include the lever safety,the cartridge counter,cocking indicator,factory drilled and tapped for a tang sight,hand checkered stock and forend,and the steel buttplate.Modern features are factory drilled and tapped for Weaver scope bases,a shorter rounded forearm,jeweled bolt,and a light taper 22" barrel.The bore is mint and free of any rust or pitting.This rifle has a period correct Redfield 3x9 scope installed.A classic rifle deer,hogs,or elk.C&R eligible.
