INDIAN WARS SPRINGFIELD U.S. MODEL 1884 TRAP DOOR .45-70 CAL. INFANTRY RIFLE. Original with replaced original parts typical of rifles sold as surplus by various firms such as Bannermann’s in the late 19th and early 20th Century. Good overall with blue and patina mix on metal. Clear markings and proofs. Stock with added varnish. Working order and dark but reasonably good bore that will clean better. Late Apache Wars era. Reasonably priced.
