Description:
Henry Derringer/Curry Single Shot Percussion Pistol. Marked “Derringer Phila.” on lock and breech and large “P” in sunburst on left side of bbl. Agent marked made for N. Curry & Brs. San Francisco Agent” on top of bbl. Agent markings are visible and clear and a very rare Agent.  The brothers Nathaniel and John took over their fathers business in 1863 and owned it until 1886.

6-1/4” inches overall, 2-1/4” inch barrel has 2 silver bands at breech, and a cap box in butt of grip, nice patina on lock and barrel, no signs of rust, corrosion or pitting, fine condition. Engraving on the barrel tang, the hammer lock and lid to cap box, with silver escutcheon on stock. Wood has a nice pleasing striped grain and is fine with some original varnish finish. German silver trim, escutcheon and furniture. This gun was probably made about 1855 to 1860. Rare in small size, with rare Agent markings, cap box, silver barrel bands, and striped wood.

Condition:  90% overall, wood is in great condition, metal has little finish left.  Appears to be all original.
