The age and maker are unknown. It was possibly made during the Victorian era, and is of the style of the late 1600’s, when the heart-shaped butt went out of style. This pistol was probably one of a pair, one being right handed, and the other left handed. This practice was discontinued around 1700. Any left handed flintlock pistol is very rare.
