Description:
A large all metal, “heart-shaped” butt, left hand flintlock pistol with ornate belthook, ramrod and ribbed barrel. The age and maker are unknown. It was possibly made during the Victorian era, and is of the style of the late 1600’s, when the heart-shaped butt went out of style. This pistol was probably one of a pair, one being right handed, and the other left handed. This practice was discontinued around 1700. Any left handed flintlock pistol is very rare.
Caliber: Approx. .50"

Overall Length: 21.5"
Barrel Length: 14.5"

Condition: Smooth grey/brown metal with scattered light pitting – Action works perfectly – Appears to have an old brazed repair on the underside of the frame, behind the lock
