Description:
You are looking at a Stevens, Savage Arms Corporation of Westfield Masachusetts USA, 410 bore, bolt action, magazine fed shotgun with 3" chamber and modified choke. The barrel is 24". The LOP is 14 1/2" to the Packmyr6 "decelerator" recoil pad. Metal finish easily rated 95% with no dents, scratches or rust. The magazine is new. Bore is shiny as if new. Stock is aged but shows no abuse, or cracking. The recoil pad was not professionally installed as indicated by the sanding marks on the stock. This gun is mechanically sound and functions as designed.
Payment by USPS Money order is preferred. Actual shipping and insurance via USPS Priority Mail to the buyer's FFL will be at the buyer's expense.
I was asked when the gun was manufactured. It has no serial number, which indicates that it had been manufactured prior to October 22, 1968 when a law was enacted requiring a serial number be applied to all guns manufactured or imported after that date. Blue Book of Gun Values, Serialization places manufacture of th model 58 from 1933 thru 1945.
