Early production dating to the first years of the Revolutionary War correctly having the early Pattern 1769 lock and the Pattern 1775 mounts and retaining the earlier Long Land Pattern 45” barrel. (See pp 40-43, SMALL ARMS OF THE BRITISH FORCES IN AMERICA 1664-1815 by De Witt Bailey, Ph.D.). Old heavy patina on metal with moderate pitting overall. Original flintlock configuration and not a reconversion. Original lock and hammer with the frizzen spring and screw and top jaw and screws perfectly aged restorations and worn sear does not hold on cock. Original stock with the original patinated finish. Forend wood professionally restored forward of the ramrod thimble. Loss of wood about the lock plate from long use. Original period of use Colonial ramrod with matching heavy patina and pitting.
