"A.B Griswold & Co Marked Cased Tranter 3rd Model Revolver. Beautiful small frame Tranter made in the 1850’s .36 caliber with a 4" barrel. The metal is nicely engraved and is in excellent condition with 96% of the original finish. Grips are excellent. Cylinder was case hardened and has a dark gray mottled patina. The top of this gun is marked “A.B. Griswold & Co New Orleans" Tranter sold these guns to Griswold in New Orleans pre civil war as one of their dealers. This gun is in the original case with all of the accessories. Very nice Cased Griswold Marked Tranter!
