Description:
This early double signed W.H. HORSEMANN , sword has all the bells and whistles. The blade is heavily acid etched with flags and floral motif on both side, and on the back of the blade, the blade has the W.H.HORTMANN PHILADELPHIA, and on the scabbard is the Horstmann , with the number 234 below the name. The rigged or fluted handle is minty as is the patina on the eagles head , and hand guard chain, coming from the eagles mouth to the hand guard, the eagle is ornate with a swirling motion to the hand guard, a good portion of the gold wash on the underside of the hand guard still is present. The double hangared scabbard is a beautiful brass ornate design, with the original stud to hang from the sword belt , when dismounted standing. Tiny bit of wear around the throat of plating on blade effects nothing, as expected , tiny dent on scabbard , effects nothing. The red felt scabbard washer is still present. 859-533-5445.
