Description:
Sold. For sale is my Parker DHE, 12 gauge. This beautiful clays, trap and waterfowl gun is built on a #2 frame. It features 32 inch barrels and 3 inch chambers. It has a Simmons vent rib, added by them in the 1960’s. It was likely part of an overall restoration which included the rib, chamber, triggers and new wood. I recently had Buck Hamlin restore the metal. This included tightening the action, lever is to the right. He also removed small dents, reblued the barrels and trigger guard, and installed a new set of white Bradley, mid and end beads. Barrels retain 100% reblue and are beautiful. The gun features a straight-grip stock with long tang. Wood is a restock with nice figure, likely by Fajen. Wood finish is original to the stock, with the usual bumps and handling marks. I added a thin coat of Timberlux. Beaver tail forend seems to be an old modification. The original splinter forend was actually placed into the beaver tail. Go figure. I’ve shot a several rounds of trap and clays with this Parker. It functions flawlessly and handles beautifully. Chokes M/IM. Manual safety and double triggers. Engraving is nice and sharp. LOP 14.25, with very useful modern dimensions, DAH 2 1/2, weight on my bathroom scale is 8 lbs, 13 oz. If you want a long-barreled, straight-gripped DHE to crush clays or take birds, this is a fantastic gun to do it with. C&R.
