This rifle made in 1926 first year for stnls barrels,"according to Madis" The japanned black finish has vanished as always happened to them, barrel was cleaned up, never sanded, all lettering is perfect on Bbl. Proof stamps are the same, the remainder of gun was restored to new, Bore is perfect, Stnls only made for 1 1/2 years, and few are seen, shotguns are more prevelent than rifles, that are very rare, from that era. Wood is restored to new also, A rare collectable, that would stand out in any collection.
