This is a Rossi Model 62 SA slide action takedown rifle, which is a copy of Winchester’s famous Model 62, an improved version of the M1890 gallery gun. The rifle will chamber and feed .22 Short, Long, or Long Rifle cartridges. This rifle is blued with a 23” round barrel and a three-quarter length magazine tube. The rifle is in about Fine Plus condition with about 97% of its original finish remaining. This is a perfect opportunity for someone to acquire a nice pump action gallery rifle that they can actually shoot, rather than spending $1000 dollars for an original Winchester M1890, which you likely wouldn’t shoot for fear of reducing its value. This is perfect for small game hunting and plinking, and when used with .22 Short ammo, it can be used in rural areas without disturbing your neighbors. A great beginner gun. Make: Rossi of Brazil

Markings: The left side of the receiver is marked with a round ROSSI logo. The top of the barrel at the receiver is marked “.22 S.L.LR”. The bottom of the receiver is marked “G229976”.

Sights / Optics: The front sight is a brass bead dovetailed into a ramp. The rear sight is a Williams,”U” notched, adjustable for both windage and elevation,screwed to the barrel.
Stock Configuration & Condition: The stocks are two-piece, nice straight grain walnut with grooved slide handle, straight grip, straight comb and black plastic Rossi butt plate. Overall, the stocks are in about Fine Plus-Excellent condition.

Bore Condition: The bore is bright and shiny.
Overall Condition: This rifle retains about 97% of its original metal finish. There is some minor corrosion on the barrel and the forward mag-tube support, near the muzzle. The markings are clear. Overall, this rifle is in about Fine Plus condition. The only visible wear is on the top of the receiver from when the bolt opens, and a little on the action bar and magazine tube which is to be expected.
Mechanics: The action functions correctly and locks-up solidly. The hammer has a half-cock safety position. We did not fire this rifle.
