Description:
There's nothing quite like a Pre War 70 and this one remains a very fine example for its 83 years! It is in excellent condition with original finishes. The tight grained walnut stock shows beautiful color and figure with numerous light handling marks, but nothing deep or distracting. I have zoomed in on a small area around the clover tang which has been touched up due to upchipping but there are NO cracks in this area nor anywhere else. This rifle wears the gorgeous rust blued barrel and carbonum blued receiver used on the earliest guns. Early frost blued extractor. The 4 digit serial number is 92** with matching number bolt made in 1937. The barrel is 24" with an excellent bore. Mechanics are perfect.
