An original sling that would have been issued with models 1855, 1861 and 1863 rifled muskets. It is stamped in an oval " A.D. LAIDLEY U.S. ORD. DEPT. SUB INSPECTOR
Overall length-- approx. 48"
Width-- 1.12"
Condition- Leather is quite pliable with no cracking of the finish. The brass hook shows a good untouched age patina.
