NAZI GERMAN Erfurt/Mauser Luger P.08 Pistol
With WWII “1941” Dated Holster
Here we present a 1940 Dated Erfurt/Mauser Luger Semi-Automatic Pistol. Georg Luger was the inventor and the namesake of this very successful and iconic sidearm. His design would be especially successful throughout World War I & World War II. These pistols had and still have a reputation of being of utter quality and quite expensive to produce.
This Luger is made up of parts from three different Lugers. The barrel is dated “1940”. The toggle is marked “CROWN/ERFURT”. There are various German proof & acceptance marks on the frame and toggle. The leather holster is dated “bla/1941” and “P.08”.
The overall condition is very good. 35% of the original blue remains. The markings are clear and legible. The bore is in good condition, semi-bright. The walnut grips are in good shape. The action is strong.
