Description:
This 1954 Belgian Browning Superposed was the victim of poor storage and got some rust on the left side of the frame and a bit on the barrels-not much. I had it cleaned up and it looks pretty decent. This gun has 30 inch barrels bored improved modified and full. It has the early .723 bores that pattern very well. The gun is tight and bores and mechanics are excellent. It has a Lightning style stock with original buttplate but the forend is a target or trap style--not field style. The dimensions are not your typical field dimensions, the comb is higher and it feels like a trap or pigeon gun. Perhaps it was special ordered without a recoil pad? In any event there is a single bead and the gun moves and points nicely. The workmanship on these hand engraved guns is truly excellent.
