Description:
General Specs: Smith & Wesson, Year 1962, .22 long rifle, 38.2 oz
Serial Number: K540202

During the early to mid-1900’s the Smith and Wesson K-Frame Target revolvers dominated the Bullseye tournaments nationwide.  The K-22 Masterpiece revolver is built on the larger K Frame and were nearly identical in weight and balance to their bigger cousins, the K-32 and K-38 Masterpiece.  This was Smith and Wesson’s finest revolver and was fine-tuned to have the smoothest actions and best trigger pulls that could be had…then or now!  This fine revolver is a Model 18-2 K-22 Combat Masterpiece, snK540202 made in 1962, and is a rendition of the K-22 Masterpiece produced before the war.  This is a beautifully maintained revolver showing 98% dark, brilliant factory blue, and was shipped with the 4” pinned barrel (hard to find), and the ½” wide target hammer, ½” wide target trigger, and rosewood Target Grips.  The gun is wholly factory original with only light handling marks at the muzzle and light line on the cylinder.  The trigger and hammer retain most of the factory case color.  The mechanics are perfectly timed and there are no issues with the gun.  This is a rare find and a phenomenal gun for shooting accurate targets, hunting small game, or casual plinking.  If you prefer the hand-filling K-frame Target Grips you will like this gun!  This is a very high-quality revolver that you cannot find in today’s world of CNC machined handguns.  These older Smith & Wesson handguns were all hand-tuned by true expert wheel gun makers.  Thanks for looking!
