A Whitney Phoenix sporting rifle with octagon barrel in 44 rimfire. These rifles were built on a patent issued to Whitney in 1874. The total production is estimated at less than 2000.

Condition-- A good honest untouched example. Iron parts are a medium gray-brown age patina. The walnut stock has not been sanded or refinished. The action and bore are good.
