Beautiful made in Finland Sako model 61R in 300 Weatherby Magnum caliber. This gun is absolutely new in the original box, I should know I bought it back in the late eighty's. Yes, she has been another "safe queen" , well oiled and taken care of though,.
I have not seen another 61R in 300 Weatherby caliber, this would be an excellent choice for Elk for sure. 24 inch barrel surrounded by a beautiful hand fit European fancy walnut stock, with beautiful hand checkering. If you are not familiar with Sako, they do everything with precision, these are well made rifles.
The Sako action is one of the best, a manual feed bolt and extractor, great quality.
