WW2 ITALIAN FINNISH CARCANO FUCILE MODELLO MODEL 91/38 OR 38 SHORT RIFLE IN 7.35 CALIBER W/ ORIG. SLING. Serial number "K66XX" on barrel along with "1939" and "Terni" (Arsenal) under "RE" and Crown along with other markings including "SA"(FINLAND) in box crisply struck with no signs of refurbishment or refinishing. Same "SA" appears on leather sling with correct buckle. "Cal. 7.35" on rear sight so NOT a caliber/barrel rebore from earlier model in smaller caliber(6.5). Correct bolt with crisp stamps. Stock excellent with nice inletting and markings crisp including round stamp under sling including "T" and serial number below sling well. Original three piece cleaning rod in trap in butt. VERY good bore with crisp deep rifling. Functions perfectly with tight lockup. Correct sling with original buckle and very pliable conditioned leather with great stitching. Stock never been cleaned either with original finish. NO import marks. About 94,000 were used by Finland during the "Winter War" of 1939-40 and the "SA" stamps attest to this. The Finn's referred to them as "Terni Carbines".
