Description:
A Chinese pellet crossbow made in the 1800s. Probably made for bird hunting. The string is twisted rawhide. The trigger mechanism appears to be made of bone or antler. The stock is skillfully formed from some type of hardwood and the bow is a composite of what appears to be bamboo with a sinew backing. The rear sight is made of horn.
