Description:
This 629-3 Mountain Gun remains in very good condition and is a great choice for those who spend time in the deep woods, but find the recoil of larger chamberings unmanageable. With heavy, hard cast lead .44 Mag. is adequate "medicine" for bear and moose. With jacketed soft points, it's completely devastating on mountain lion, wolves, and feral hogs. Recoil is stout, but nowhere close to that of the much more powerful .454 Casull, .500 S&W, and the like. Also, if stoked with jacketed hollow points in .44 Special, this could also double as a daily-carry piece. .44 Magnum
