Payment Types Accepted: Visa,Master Card, Discover,Check Description: This is a spectacular all-original and minty "Old Model" Ruger Blackhawk in .357 Magnum with a 3-screw frame and a 6.5" inch barrel.  It was manufactured in 1972 and bought new by the original owner who never fired it, spending it's entire life in a safe until now.  It comes complete with the original box, owner's manual, and anti-rust shipping paper.  It remains in the exact configuration that it left the factory in, having never been sent back to Ruger for the transfer bar "safety" installation.  The Ruger Blackhawk was first introduced in 1955 as the firm's first single-action centerfire revolver in the powerful .357 Magnum cartridge, and it has since become one of the all-time classic American-made revolvers.  The Blackhawk was designed as a simple and durable weapon and it quickly proved itself with both shooters and hunters alike.  Offered in numerous calibers and 3 barrel lengths over the years, the Ruger Blackhawk remains popular with shooters and hunters today with the high-condition examples being sought-after by collectors all over the United States.  This particular example is pristine and beautiful.  It features a gloss blue factory finish on the steel parts, an anodized black finish on the alloy parts, a hammer with factory-polished sides, a 6.5" inch barrel with a ramped front sight blade and target-style adjustable rear sight, a 6-shot fluted cylinder, a right-side loading gate and under-barrel ejector rod, and smooth American Walnut grips with silver and black Ruger medallions.  All of the factory finishes on this Ruger rate 99% and look like-new.  You will have to look very hard to find the 1% cumulative deduction from the finish rating.  All of the factory stampings are crisp and clear, and all of the screw heads on the revolver look un-turned and perfect.  The bore in this Ruger is spotless and mirror-bright with perfect, sharp rifling.  The cylinder shows no drag-line, has perfect chambers, and the face only shows light halos around each chamber from the factory test firing.  The bright polished sides of the hammer are free from any staining or discoloration and show only some light marks from making contact with the sides of the frame.  The crossgrain is still nice and crisp on both sides of the hammer, indicating it has never been cleaned or polished since leaving the factory.  The original smooth American Walnut grips on this Blackhawk are beautiful and in like-new condition.  Both grips are perfectly fit to the gun, tight to the frame, and free from any wear, damage, or handling marks of any kind.  The action in this Blackhawk feels very precise and is perfectly in-time and smooth.  All of the controls on this revolver are in perfect working order, just like the day it left the factory 48 years ago.  As mentioned previously, this Ruger comes complete with the original box, manual, and shipping paper.  As you can see from the pictures the box still has nice bright colors to it and shows only some minor damage, with one corner of the lower half repaired with tape, and one corner of the lid repaired with tape.  If you have been looking for a minty "collector grade" 3-screw Ruger Blackhawk for your collection this 1972 model would be a superb choice.      SOLD Handgun Caliber: .357 Magnum Manufacturer: Ruger Model: Blackhawk (Old Model 3-Screw) Serial Number: 31-22985 Barrel Length: 6.5" Inches Condition: Minty Metal Condition: Minty Wood Condition: Mint Bore Condition: Mint Action: Single Action Revolver Finish: Blued Sights: Adjustable Extras: w/ Original Box, Owner's Manual, Etc.
