This is an awesome Inuit scrimshawed Walrus Tusk measuring 19 inches long and 2 1/2 inches wide
at the large end and tapering down to 1 3/4 inch at the tip
and weighing 3 1/2 to 4 pounds. This has 12 animal and fish scrimshaw. Bear, Walrus, sea Lion, seal, and fish.
The work is extremly detailed and finely done. I will post more pictures with detail. Just wanted to get this on GI.
Both ends are open. Probably missing caps.
This is not a faux tusk. Goet those on ebay for under $100.00. This caqme from the estate of a long time collector
