Description:
Serial #3790, 1.5" flare, 4 1/8" barrel with an excellent, bright bore. This is a 1941 dated pistol that has extensive military and Birmingham proofs, and retains 95-97% of the original dull blue finish with some silvering and fading along the high and exposed edges, as well as numerous small scratches and marks along the breech bolster. The NT model is fitted with the hooked top-latch for securing to a vehicle mount via the helical threads near the muzzle, and is not cut for a shoulder stock. The checkered Bakelite grips are in fine shape, with numerous small handling marks and blemishes throughout, as well as a faded, but still legible rack number on the right panel at the butt: “8". The lock-up is tight, and the action is fully functional. This is a very nice example of a WW2 flare pistol, and is in excellent condition.
