Description:
Appears to be complete, this early double action ctr. fire revolver is in the white, with very clean hand checkered grips made of baffalo horn, commonly found on French and Belgian guns. Actio works well on single action or double action after the trigger is pushed forward so I suspect that a new or stronger trigger return spring is needed. Cylinder locks uptight, and I see an oval on the cylinder with LEG for Belgian amke (Liege). Has the complete cartridge ejector rod, and the caliber looks like about .36/38 , bore measuring: .340" and the front of the cylinder meausing : .360". The octagonal barrel is 5 1/2" long and overall the gun meaaures about 9 3/4" long. Many were imported from Belgium and other countries before and during the Civil War. Shows up well for a 19th century revolver. When buying a gun always have it examined by a competent gunsmith before shooting.
