Payment Types Accepted: money order Description: Here is a nice Civil War survivor. The Model 1861 was the primary long arm of the Union soldiers in the war. This is a fine example with the metal mostly in the white as issued. Action and bore are excellent. Wood is excellent as well. A friend of mine, more knowledgeable than me about these things, tells me that the hammer is off an 1863 Model. I suspect this is not the first Civil War musket on which the hammer was changed. I shot this rifle several years back when I first got it and was amazed at the accuracy with .58 caliber minie balls shooting at a 100 yard gong here at the ranch. Here is one rifle that is a piece of history, a fun shooter, a good deer rifle for your muzzle-loading season, and an investment. $60 shipping and insurance. No paperwork as this is an antique. SOLD Antique: Yes Rifle Caliber: .58 Manufacturer: Springfield Armory Model: 1861 Barrel Length: 39-40 Condition: Excellent Metal Condition: Excellente Wood Condition: Excellent Bore Condition: Excellent |
