Description:
Rare Brno M-22F mannlicher rifle in 8x57 JS Mauser with 23" barrel and factory see-through Brno claw mounts and Optikotechna 4X scope adjustable from 100 to 200 meters with top dial. This rifle, S/N 9197, made and proofed in 1946, has a perfect bore and  95% bright blue with spoonbolt, double set triggers, and capped pistol grip. Someone has installed a Pachmayr recoil pad. Wood is in great shape with no splits or cracks that I can find and some fiddleback. Has fold down iron sights for 100 & 200 meters. The amazing thing about this scope is that it is very clear and has coated lenses with typical German fine crosshairs and thick bottom post. Coated optics were Top Secret German wartime technology and you didn't see them on commercial optics until the 1950's. These rifles were built on a VZ-33 Small Ring 98 action, which is why they are so trim compared to Commercial Mauser rifles. Anyway, this is a fine rifle and rare in this configuration. With Czech 196 grain ammo(S&B), it will print exactly where you hold it. This clawmount scope option costs almost what the rifle cost originally, which is probably why you don't see many of them. Free shipping to lower 48 states except California.
