Description:
SOLD A very nice Belgian 12 ga. hammer double hammer shotgun with with 30" original barrels chokes at left tube: IM and right tube: very tight MOD. The lock-up is good, and the hammers work. Chambering 2 9/16" black powder shells only, with the left tube having more corroison near the breech and the right tube much less but can fire black powder shells, not pitted and rusted out. The French walnut stocks are very good with the stock havimng a field dent or scrape on the right side above the pistol grips area, but the remainder being finely hand checkered, as well as the forend. Comes with a brass bead front sight, and profuse hand chisel engraving on the frame and lock-plates with a inlaid solid silver hunting hound on the left side, as well as an engraved trigger guard. LOP with a steel ribbed butt-plate is 14 1/2" long. The barrels are brown smooth finish, with the top rib stating: BELGIUM IMPERIAL DAMASCUS. Very well made , finished and balanced double.
