Description:
The Marlin Model 62 Levermatic .256 Win. Mag. features a quick short throw lever action, oil finish and sling swivels. It was one of the few commercial firearms produced in this caliber. The .256 Win. Mag. was based on the .357 Magnum cartridge necked down to .256 diameter. The .256 Winchester Magnum will push a 60 grain bullet about 2700 ft./sec. out of a 24 inch barrel. It would make a great match to a Ruger Hawkeye Single Shot .256 win. Mag. pistol. Manufactured 1964.
