Description:
Original 24 inch octagon barrel with full length mag tube. Good barrel markings. Correct Winchester style sights. Rifle style buttplate. Engraving is similar to many known Nimschke style engravings. Identical to one shown on page 121 of the Winchester Madis book featuring the large scrolls and some sort of bird coming out of the center. Receiver has turned a dark color with sharp engraving. A very nice Winchester 1866 rifle.
