Description:
The 1917 Enfield design was well suited for the powerful .30-06 cartridge. Over two million were manufactured for use during World War One. The M1917 in service with the United States through 1945. Many of the surplus rifles were sporterized and repurposed as hunting rifles. This rifle had the rear sight ground off and was drilled and tapped for scope mounting. If you are in need of a perfectly usable hunting rifle in a great big game caliber this rifle would be well worth considering. Originally manufactured by Winchester in 1918. .30-06 Springfield
