Savage model 99F featherweight in 308 Win.Built in 1959,this rifle combines the classic features of the early 99s with some modern additions that make it a better hunting rifle.The classic features include the cartridge counter,lever safety,hand checkered walnut stock and forend,steel buttplate,case harnded lever,and factory drillled and tapped for a peep sight.The modern features include a 22" light taper barrel,factory drilled and tapped for scope bases,a shorter rounded forend,an engine turned bolt,and the more modern 308 caliber.The rifle is in all original condition retaining 95% of the original blue and wood finish.The stock is sound with no cracks or damage.This is a very hard to find rifle in this configuration and condition.C&R eligible.
