Description:
This is a very nice Harrington & Richardson "Reising Model 65" semi-automatic rifle. Chambered in .22 Long Rifle, the Model 65 was designed by Eugene Reising during WWII at the request of the U.S. Government. They wanted a semi-automatic, .22 caliber training rifle that would simulate the function of the M1 Garand.

The Reising Model 65 features a blow-back, semi-automatic action and a detachable, 10-shot magazine. The medium-weight barrel measures 23-inches in length. The front sight has protective ears and the rear sight is a Redfield sight.

There is no rust or pitting. The stock is in excellent shape as well, with a few handling marks and a small chip behind the rear sight, but no cracks. The mechanics appear to be in perfect working order and the bore is excellent. There are no US Property markings on this weapon but, from what we understand, the majority of the Reising Model 65 rifles were never marked by the military. This rifle comes with one 10-round factory magazine and a period-correct canvas sling.
