Description:
The Smith & Wesson Model 28 was also known as the Highway Patrolman. This was an N-frame revolver chambered for the .357 magnum cartridge and in production from 1954 to 1986. It was developed as a less expensive version of the S&W Model 27. In order to reduce production costs, S&W blued but did not polish the finish and the top strap was bead blasted to a matte finish instead of checkered. It was a steadfast favorite of law enforcement and civilian shooters alike. .357 Mag./ .38 Special
