Description:
The Nylon series of Remington rifles and handguns began in 1959 as the one of the earliest mass-produced firearms with a stock made from a compound by Dupont called Zytel, a brand name for Nylon. The Remington Nylon 66 started it all with other models to follow. One of them being the Nylon 12, a bolt action rimfire with under barrel tubular magazine. This model was introduced in 1960 and discontinued in 1962. The rifle shown here was produced in 1962 last year of production. They are rare, as the period of manufacture was a short two years. A very desirable collector rifle. The sights were removed by a previous owner and did not come with the rifle. However, parts are still available online including front and rear sight assemblies. .22 Short/Long/Long Rifle
