Description:
This excellent Colt DA of 1878 is chambered in .45 Colt, has 4 3/4" barrel, sports aBird's Head grip, with hard rubber stocks, and lanyard loop. The grips show some wear, but much less than comparables we've seen. Blue on barrel and frame rated above 50%. Mechanically sound. Bore and chambers excellent, this is a great example of the 1878. Comes with a period holster, both of which were featured in the Colt book, on page 221. An original Colt letter is included, with the picture of the revolver and holster, and a portion of the article from the Colt book.
