Description:
Production of the New Model No. 3 in .44 Russian commenced in 1877. It featured a lengthened cylinder, and the option of a number of other, longer cartridges.... althoug the .44 S&W Russian was standard. This is an excellent example, and is chambered in the standard .44 S&W Russian. There is consistent, shallow pitting in the barrel, and cylinders, somewhat less so in the cylinders. Exterior is mostly clean, though showing plenty of character (rubs, marks, small scratches). Blue is approx. 50% on frame and cylinder, case color still strong on hammer. Stocks are in excellnt shape, showing little, if any wear. No dings, scratches, etc. Antique Gun Shoppe has a 60 year history of selling antique firearms to collectors and enthusiasts. We do NOT recommend that they be fired, and make NO representation as to their suitability to do so.
