Crudeness of conversion has likeness of those coming from North Carolina. Overall condition is that of a wall-hanger. Metal parts have remnants of gold paint, indicating it likely hung in a GAR post over a millenia ago. Has a period repair to the left of the tang, and an incorrect front sideplate screw with nut.
