Description:
Here's an original model 1816 Nathan Starr musket, dated 1831, with possible Confederate percussion alteration. Crudeness of conversion has likeness of those coming from North Carolina. Overall condition is that of a wall-hanger. Metal parts have remnants of gold paint, indicating it likely hung in a GAR post over a millenia ago. Has a period repair to the left of the tang, and an incorrect front sideplate screw with nut. Missing top band and cleaning rod. Mechanically working but sticky. Has initials carved into buttstock. Selling to fund another relic I have my eye on. Free shipping to lower 48. PayPal, certified and personal checks accepted and money orders. Feel free to call or text me at 218-576-3792 with any inquiries.
