Description:
Serial #40634, .320 CF, 3" octagon barrel with a very good, bright bore that has spots of mild freckling along its length. This is a nice little revolver that has an overall mottled plum-brown throughout, with some mild freckling scattered about in small spots. The frame has the usual Tranter “football" marking on the left side, and has lovely floral scrollwork engraving covering about 1/3 of the surface. The checkered walnut grip has small handling marks and blemishes scattered about, with mildly worn checkering points. The action lock-up is still tight, and the mechanism is fully functional. This very gun is pictured on pg. 120 and 121 of “Tranter Cartridge Firearms" by Black, Guerin & Michaud; 2007, and would make a nice addition to any collection of Tranter handguns. Antique
