REMINGTON-HEPBURN NO. 3 SINGLE SHOT CUSTOM CONVERSION .219 ZIPPER CAL. SPORTING RIFLE. Late 1880”s production serial numbered in the 6xxx range. Converted to .219 Zipper caliber with custom 26” round varmint weight barrel with no maker stamp and marked at left side of barrel “219 ZIPPER” and “NO. 261”. It is also stamped “218 BEE” with “X” over-stamps. Scope blocks. Double set triggers. Custom walnut target stock and forend with all the finish and Remington aluminum checkered rifle butt plate. Metal re-blued overall with about all remaining. Working order and excellent plus bore. Old military style leather sling in quick detachable swivels.
