Description:
Total production of the model 56 amounted to 8,297 from 1926-1931. Of those only 1,171 were chambered in 22 Short. 22 inch barrel. Bore is bright with decent rifling. Metal finish is turning brown, thinning to mottled grayish brown. Schnabel tipped walnut stock shows a fair amount of wear retaining about 60% varnish with numerous handling marks and a crack about about 3/8 of an inch long at left side of forearm tip. Checkered steel buttplate.
